  • Invitations to SEBA events
  • Notification of events related to SEBA’s vision

ACTIVE MEMBERS

Active Membership in SEBA is for science and engineering students who want to take an active role in: (1) learning about business as it relates to science and engineering, (2) progressing their business skills, and (3) developing their network. SEBA strives to provide these things to all of its members, but is our belief that one truly LEARNS BY DOING. As such, it is expected that Active Members will engage themselves in helping our organization deliver on our mission to provide science & engineering students at the University of Washington the necessary tools to be successful in the business community.

The roles that an Active Member can take on are diverse in nature and in the necessary time commitment – ranging from performing small tasks under the direction of an Executive Officer up to organizing a SEBA event. This loose definition of the role of an Active Member is by design; invariably we all have different interests and availability, so each person can tailor their involvement accordingly. However, some form of involvement is mandatory to maintain status as an Active Member.

Active Membership in SEBA offers distinct benefits over general membership, some of which are listed below. Individual benefits will vary, dependent primarily on one’s level of involvement. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming an Active Member, please follow this link (http://tinyurl.com/d2x52v) and fill out the brief survey. After filling out the survey, you will be contacted by an Executive Officer to set up a brief meeting where you can learn more about what SEBA has to offer.
